Realized last night that I haven’t posted anything in awhile… We’ve been a little busy. Besides all the regular holiday-time hoopla, I’ve started studying for Exam 9 again (second time taking it) and we took a little trip over new years. Tons of fun hanging out with some awesome friends out east in Colonial Williamsburg.
We also got to spend an afternoon in DC at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History.
Again, tons of fun with some great hosts.

A few days late on this one...
Tuesday was the girls first day at school... kinda. It was really more of an orientation day. Only an hour and a half long and Kellie got to go along for the ride. It didn't even really feel like a first day of school either: I think the high for the day was in the low 90s. It felt like just another summer day...
Wednesday was the real first day of school. Full day long (at least for smiley) with no mama. It rained overnight and really cooled things off. I think the high for the day was in the low 70s... Definitely "back to school" weather.
So far the girls really seem to be enjoying school. Sporty is very open in her "like" for school, Smiley... not so much. When asked how her day went, she'll tell you about all the fun things they did in class and then quickly follow up with some version of "but I don't like school". Her smile when she says this gives her away though :)
Kel was out with her friends over lunch this past weekend...
