With all of the photos I have been attempting to take of our four legged family members, I thought it would be fun to give an intro and a little attention to each one individually on my blog as well. Alas, they are a bit neglected these days� Lulu is 8.5 years old. She was our first pet. She was adopted from the Humane Society in Columbus Ohio when she was about a year and a half old. She had been brought in as a kitten, adopted, returned, and had been there for about six months straight when we got her. She was very sweet from the start. She loves receiving pets and is very affectionate but does not like to be held � she would rather sit next to you. She has the amusing habit of vigorously cleaning the spot where you just pet her � particularly if the person who did the petting is male. We like to joke that she thinks that boys are stinky ;) Lulu weighs just seven pounds and has an overwhelmingly feminine and slightly snooty air about her. She has no time for any of the other animals in the house and is quite the drama queen if any of them, particularly the other cats, approach her. Lulu�s claim to fame was being featured on mycathatesyou.com. I gave her and the other cats some Benedryl to see if it might help calm them before our long roadtrip when we moved from Ohio to Wisconsin. Needless to say, she was not calmed.

I added a bunch of pics of the animals to the mobile pics section of the website. These were taken using my phone so they're a bit blurry... no new pics of Alvin, Scout, or Lulu this time... I'll be taking some pics of the new set up we have for the buns as we more than doubled their living area. We added another pen and bought another horse mat... Alvin now has enough room to run around and do binkies whenever he wants :)

a little bit of explanation... when we were planning how to move all seven of our animals from Delaware, OH to Madison, WI (9 hour trip), we knew that the animals were going to get very stressed out. We asked several people, vets included, if there was anything that we could give the animals to calm them down. Several people suggested giving the animals over the counter Benadryl using an eye dropper. A few days before the move, Kel decided that she would test whether or not the Benadryl worked; whether it would actually calm the animals down or not. As you can see, Benadryl does not always work. If anything, it really, really, pissed her off.
