We went to court this morning and finalized our adoption of Helen!!! The judge was extremely nice and seemed very happy to be a part of this day. We took a few pictures after the finalization from the judge's chambers...
When we were talking with the clerk while finishing the paperwork, Kellie commented about how much had happened in the last year: it was this same time last year, that we decided to begin the adoption process and start filling out paperwork.
Although finalization may only have involved sitting in a room for awhile and signing some (more) paperwork, it feels so extremely good to finally be "official" :)
