Thought I'd post a quick update; we'll probably go into more detail on all of this at a later date (when the computer isn't trying to get used by seven different families).
Yesterday we went to the US Embassy to get Helen's Visa :) This was quite the experience for several different reason but I'll try to talk about that more later.
Last night we went to the Crown Hotel for a cultural event and dinner; we left Helen at the care center for this. We did this as it is considered taboo to take babies out in public and it helps to ease her transition into our care. Helen was exhausted from the trip to the Embassy; I hope that the nannies don't think to horribly of use for this.
We just finished lunch after a trip to shop and then to the Merkato (considered the largest open air market in Africa). We took video of the trip to the Merkato and it's unbelievable to see. Helen didn't make the trip with us, staying at the care center. We will be going to pick her up shortly :)
More to come later, and love to all.
